Rose City Renaissance is a Main Street program full of volunteers from many walks of life, united by our desire to revitalize our community. We are people who live and work here; and we invite you to join us as we restore and renew our city together.

YES! I/we want to build a more vibrant downtown Norwich by becoming a member of Rose City Renaissance.

There are many ways to help. While we are supported largely through donations, your time is also a valuable contribution to our efforts. There is always something to do, regardless of the amount of time you could share with us. Our best resource is ourselves. Join now to bring about a real renaissance in Norwich!

The structure of Rose City Renaissance is designed to encourage the broadest level of participation from the community.  While the initial Board of Directors and Committee Chairpeople had been key participants in organizing RCR, strict term limits for Board members and Committee Chairs promote new energy and ideas, and many new faces have been added to our organization.

Anyone interested in participating in the activities of Rose City Renaissance can easily do so, as we welcome all who wish to commit their time and energy. Due to the nature of the organization, participation will place our volunteers in the vanguard of our programming and project development. The majority of the projects which Rose City Renaissance will undertake during the course of an association year will begin with a committee, with the approval, budgetary allocation, and oversight of the Board of Directors. Your participation could very well shape the direction of RCR and ultimately, Norwich.

In the not-so-distant future, Rose City Renaissance will implement a "Leadership Training Program," which will not only help to identify and train potential chairpeople, board members and officers for our organization, but will also train city residents to become more aware of and involved in civic and community activities in Norwich and the region.
